A good friend once told me that a blog doesn’t have to be full of words.  It can be whatever you want it to be.  That was music to my ears because I’m not good with words (except when I’m going off about the elf on the shelf).  I’m that person whose words come hours after the fact.  I’m a thinker, I’m quiet, and I am learning that’s ok.

So this morning minutes before I need to get my kiddos up, feed them, get them off to the bus, walk, get ready for work, this is what is on my mind.  The past few weeks of trying to be simple in the mass craziness that surrounds the holidays.

“Stand against the darkness and love”…that’s the way back to life!” so simple, so profound and beautiful! Thank you for sharing this – inspiration!!

A lovely post. Perfect for my dear friend to focus upon…loving God and others…did he eat the icicle?? Mom never let us as a kid. I now can see why. I think a roof must be quite dirty!!! The peaceful view of kids and Mom gazing at trees for their own. Cattle losing on the hillside. See? Pictures paint thousands of words. Meeting up with a good friend at Khols(?) and the joy of friends. A mom who works, makes sure kids are up and out to school, exercises body and soul via devotions and Bible reading…is then off to work plus blogs….and grows tired—so we all relate–and think you are perfect just as is. Your tree is done, house decorated, kids happy….God is good. God is great.

Hi Angela I could feel the peacefulness as I read this post. Every time I find myself getting too stressed over Christmas I pause and thank Jesus for coming and remind myself what’s really important. It has really helped make this the most calm Christmas season of my life and I am actually enjoying it rather than enduring it!
Just relax my sweet friend :)

I love your dresser – I have one almost exactly like it and you so rarely see those! My grandparents gave me mine when I was a little girl. Love your photos too!
